Completing courses, hands-on training, and a 170-hour externship with 160 hours in a clinical setting, Barbara successfully graduated and began the career of her dreams. We are extremely proud of her for achieving her career goals.

What You Learn in a Medical Assistant Program

For each graduate of a program, we highlight three different courses. During the program, Barbara took courses such as: Pharmacology and Pathology, General Anatomy & Physiology, and Medical Office Emergencies.

  • Wound recognition and basic treatment, patient triage through primary assessment, the medical assistant’s role in emergency preparedness and response, and CPR and basic First Aid techniques and methods
