Graduate Highlight - Christian Lopez
What is the most important factor for success? Many times, it's having the will to learn and put in effort. Knowledge could be taught, and skills could be developed, but willpower is something that nobody could give you. Christian Lopez knew this all too well when he tackled a new career field.
Welding is an extensive field with many different techniques and skills to learn. However, Mr. Lopez did not shy away from the challenge. He enrolled in Rockford Career College's welding program, determined to go above and beyond to reach his career goals. “Expecting results where you haven't put in the work is like expecting crops where nothing has been planted,” says Mr. Lopez. His hard work paid off when he graduated in April of 2019, ready to begin his new profession.
Rockford Career College's Diploma in Welding program prepares students for entry-level employment through its coverage of SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW techniques. Students gain an understanding of current theories and uses of welding techniques in the classroom but are also able to practice and develop their skills through hands-on work. Courses focus on subjects such as thermal cutting and metal preparation, general craft and trade skills, professional success strategies, and much more. You could be on your way to a new career you love in as little as ten months.
We hope Mr. Lopez's story inspired you. Whether you are interested in the welding program or one of the many other programs offered at Rockford Career College, please come in and talk to us today to find your career passion. Call 888.680.6682 or submit our Request Information form to learn more.
