Rockford Career College’s accreditations and approvals affirm that our programs meet established standards and that our students are eligible for the benefits, licensure pathways, and opportunities that come with recognized training.
Rockford Career College is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). ACCSC is recognized by the United States Department of Education as the designated institutional accrediting body for over 650 post-secondary, trade and technical schools that provide education to over 150,000 students in a wide variety of vocational programs each year. 2017 marks 50 years of continuous recognition for ACCSC, including earning, in 2011 & 2016, consecutive five-year recognition grants from the U.S. Department of Education. ACCSC’s scope of recognition with the U.S. Department of Education includes the accreditation of postsecondary, non-degree-granting institutions and degree-granting institutions, including those granting associate, baccalaureate and master’s degrees, that are predominantly organized to educate students for occupational, trade and technical careers, and including institutions that offer programs via distance education.

The Veterinary Technician Program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Committee on Veterinary Technical Education and Activities (CVTEA).
The Surgical Technology Program is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
Rockford Career College is formally recognized by American Medical Technologists (AMT), a national certification agency for allied health professionals. Students completing the Medical Assistant diploma program are eligible to sit for the appropriate AMT examination.
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program – Abdomen Extended and – Obstetrics Gynecology is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS).
Degree Programs are approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
