Graduate Spotlight: Christine McGowan

Hi, I'm Christine McGowan, and the reason I went back to school is because I wanted to start a new chapter in my life.  I am a CNA at a nursing home and I love it, but I don't like the strain it puts on my body.  So I decided to go back to school.  My experience here at Rockford Career College has been wonderful! I started as a medical assistant, then I moved to medical billing and coding.  Two and one half years ago I was a shy persna nd barely lifted my head when people spoke with me.  The staff and other students got me out of my sehll.

"Having spent over four decades as a teacher and administrator at Rockford Career College, it was always my pleasure to see students' lives changed and dreams become a reality for many of those who have graduated.  I'm sure this will continue with the resurgence of the Career Advanced Training foundation."
