A Role Model: Melissa (Mel) Acosta
2018 Medical Assistant & Allied Health Graduate
Starting Career at: Rockford Urological Associates
Mel, a mother of three, decided to pursue a degree in the Medical field at Rockford Career College.  Her family was so proud of her for taking on this challenge.  She started with our 10-month Medical Assistant program and was a star student making the President's list.  Upon completion, she rolled directly in our 7-month Allied Health completion program and graduated, again as a star student but this time on the Dean’s list, with an Associate’s Degree in Allied Health.  Mel is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in leadership in May.
While attending school, Mel was generous with her time by volunteering to be a student ambassador.  Always smiling, we were proud to have her explain our programs to future students.
Now Mel works at Rockford Urological Associates and part-time at our school.
Do you think about raising a family and going back to school?  Let Mel be a role model for you?   If you would like to meet Mel and ask her about her experience, contact an admissions representative at 815-967-7329 or fill out our Request Information form at the top of the page and let them know you would like to meet with Mel.
