DATE On December 27, 2018

Have you ever been uncertain if a job was right for you? Many consider welding to be a male-oriented career, but there are plenty of opportunities for women to thrive in this trade. Fast growth in the trades has inspired women like Paige Kroschel to explore this career path. Ms. Kroschel graduated from Rockford Career College's welding program this month and is ready to begin her new dream job.

“Women, don't be intimidated to get into a 'man's career,' because this was the best decision I have ever made,” says Ms. Kroschel. At Rockford Career College, you can receive instruction in welding theory, SMAW and GTAW specifics, welding safety, thermal cutting, and general craft and trade skills. We can also help prepare you to test for a Certified Welding Inspection report with the American Welding Society. RCC's welding program does not require an externship. Once you are part of the Rockford family, you are always welcome to return to the school.  Alumni may continue to work at the lab to perfect, enhance or practice their skills.

We hope Ms. Kroschel's story inspired you. Whether you are interested in welding or one of the many other programs offered at Rockford Career College, please come in and talk to us today to find your career passion. Call 888.680.6682 or submit our Request Information form to learn more.
