Graduate Highlight - Ashley Jarrett
DATE On June 21, 2019

Do you find that there is not enough time in the day to complete everything on your list? If you have a packed schedule and little time to relax, you may believe it is impossible to pursue your dream profession. However, with our flexible scheduling options and ten-month program length, completing a medical assistant diploma program at Rockford Career College may be possible after all. Ashley Jarrett is just one of many recent graduates who was able to fit school into her hectic life.

Ms. Jarrett began our medical assistant program not only for herself but also her family. “It was very challenging going to school full-time while also working full-time and caring for my three-year-old,” says Ms. Jarrett. “Yes, I am a single parent which was more of the reason I needed to invest in myself for a brighter future.”

Ms. Jarrett's determination carried her through classes such as Patient Care, Administrative Procedures, and Medical Office Emergencies. She successfully completed an externship at DLX Medical Group in Rockford, Illinois as well. In May of 2019, Ms. Jarrett graduated from RCC, and she encourages anyone seeking a new career to not let their fears hold them back. “Never let yesterday's disappointment overshadow tomorrow's dream,” she says.

We hope Ms. Jarrett's story inspired you.
