Massage Therapy program provides instruction in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and prepares graduates to enter the field of massage therapy. This program focuses on therapeutic massage techniques used in a clinical setting. Students will learn a variety of techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, reflexology, sports massage, and more. Graduates of the programs are prepared to work in salons, health spas, with physicians, chiropractors, hospitals, and private practice.
After graduation, students will be prepared and eligible to take the National Certification Exam. Successfully passing the exam is required for licensure in the State of Illinois.

The Massage Therapy Diploma program is offered as a program leading to Gainful Employment. As such we want all potential students to be able to make a reasoned decision on enrolling in this program at Rockford Career College. To that extent we offer the following information:

This program requires 860 clock hours. A full-time student can complete the program in 12 months if they maintain full-time status, do not take any lime off and successfully pass each course the first time.
On Time Graduation Rate:
For the 2011-12 Award Year (July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012) 16 students graduated from the program. Of those 1 student completed the program on time. Thus the On-Time completion rate is 0.06%.
Tuition, Books and Fees:
Total tuition and fees for the program is $12,500.
Estimated Books and Supplies for the program is $1,000.
Students who need pre-curriculum courses or have to repeat courses will incur additional tuition. Students who transfer in credits from other colleges will have a reduced tuition total. The college reserves the right to increase tuition in the future. All tuition increases will be announced at least 30 days before implementation.
